Chapter 1: The Vanishing of Will Byers

The series opens with 12-year-old Will Byers cycling back from a game of Dungeons and Dragons with his friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. On his way home, Will encounters a strange creature and goes missing. His friends begin a quest to find him, but they stumble upon a mysterious girl with supernatural powers who they soon discover is connected to Will's disappearance. Meanwhile, Joyce Byers, Will's mother, begins to notice strange occurrences in her home that seem to be connected to her missing son.
